Domain description :

Bought a favorite in 1972 by Baptistin Bronzo and his two son, Louis Michel, the field has been painstakingly restored to become a staple of the appellation. Today the Bastide Blanche operates approximately 50 hectares of vineyards, in the communes of Le Castellet, La Cadiere, and Saint Cyr sur Mer. With Julien and Nicolas, the third generation takes over alongside Stephane Bourret, winemaker and director operating for over twenty years. At the foot of the Castellet, the field extends into an amphitheater of hills dotted with Mediterranean species, protected Massif de la Sainte Baume. The vines are arranged in terraces. The soil is composed of pebbles and serious dominant clay and limestone.

Description of the appellation :

The Bandol mobilizes 8 towns: Bandol, Sanary, La Cadiere d'Azur, Saint-Cyr-sur-Mer, Evenos, Le Beausset, Ollioules and Le Castellet. The Mourvèdre grape rests on a limestone floor and enjoys a warm climate with maritime influences. The wines produced by the Bandol appellation wines are very good guard. Red wines are full bodied and powerful. Rosé acquire more and more space in production and whites are not far behind.

Description of the region :

The wine region of Provence unfolds between the Durance, Les Coteaux de Pierrevert and the Mediterranean, from Nice to Arles, in the Alpes-Maritimes, Var, Bouches-du-Rhone and Alpes de Hautes Provence. Vineyard Provence is divided into four designations: Slopes of Pierrevert, Cotes de Provence, Aix en Provence Slopes and Slopes of Var and 5 appellations: Cassis, Bellet, Bandol and Baux. The vineyards of Provence offers rosés famous but also excellent red wines and some white wines (Bellet, Cassis, Bandol). The region has 21 main varieties and some complementary one. The wines are composed of assemblies whose percentages vary designations. The vines are planted on 3 types of terrain shallow and arid: limestone terraces (Sainte Baume, Alpilles, Alpes de Haute-Provence), crystalline floors made of granite and schist (Toulon, Saint-Raphaël) and soil siliceous sandstone and (Brignoles, Le Luc, Les Arcs, Frejus, Hyeres).
