The estate Casas Patron is located in the San Clemente area on the name of the Maule Valley 250 kms south of Santiago. It is the oldest wine region of Chile from the 17th century. This region lies in the foothills of the Andes. There is a succession of great plains and small hills.

Description of the appellation :

The Carmenere is a grape of Bordeaux origin. It is the result of interbreeding between Cabernet Franc and Cabernet big. It is grown in Chile, Peru, in the Cordillera of the Andes, California, Italy and Argentina and France of course.
