Although located south of the Rhône Valley, the appellations AOC Vacqueyras, Gigondas and Cotes du Rhone, our area of ​​58 hectares is converted to biodynamic 1996.Depuis since 1999 all Montirius wines are therefore made from grapes agriculture Organic and Biodynamic, the Domaine Montirius then becoming the first vineyard certified biodynamic about Vacqueyras and Gigondas appellation.

Description of the appellation :

The name of this name comes from the Latin Vallea Quadreria, which means the valley stones. Last appellation of the Rhone valley, its geographical area contains vauclusian towns of Vacqueyras and Sarrians. Of pebbles slicks come from the Ouvèze river, which tempers the summer drought. Red wines are concentrated and complex.

Description of the region :

Second wine region in France after Bordeaux, the Rhone region is one of the oldest in the country. The vineyard is divided into two zones: the northern Rhone Valley and the southern Rhone valley.
