Domain description :

The domain SAN MICHELI is one of the oldest appellation "Sartène" Property of the family since the eighteenth century, the estate is taken up in 1974 by John Paul and Benedict Phélip. The vineyard is located in the Valley of Ortolo, hillside at a place called "Capaneddi" oriented to the southwest, at the foot of the Cagna chain, which ensures beneficial changes in temperature for growing Vine . The vineyard now covers 22 hectares planted with conventional varieties of the appellation "Vin de Corse Sartène" and is led by rational and traditional way: Plowing autumn and spring, weeding and hoeing in the summer; many works are still manual, especially the harvest, to focus on quality of harvested berries.

Description of the appellation :

It will take until 1960 to see prosper viticulture which will increase from 538 ha in 1961 to 2,400 ha in 1970 and fell to 850 ha in 1985. With an area of ​​152.4 ha in AOC and an average yield of 31.5 hl / ha, the vineyard is one of 5 Appellations Corsica Village.

Description of the region :
